Cricket Betting at official — place bets on the best markets from BPL to T20 World Cup
Cricket is Bangladesh's most popular sport — and at official there is an opportunity to make that passion more meaningful. From Match Winner to Toss, Top Batsman, and live in-play — all markets in one place.
Cricket Formats and Favourite Tournaments
Cricket has three main formats and each has its own rhythm and strategy. T20 is the fastest — the result can change within just twenty overs. A boundary sends the score jumping; a wicket puts the team under pressure. BPL in this format is so popular in Bangladesh that everyone from Dhaka stadiums to village tea stalls follows the score.
ODI, or one-day cricket, is a fifty-over game — teams need to be restrained early and then go on the attack later. Batsman performance and pitch conditions influence the result over the long term. Betting on this format in ICC events or bilateral series is quite lively.
Test cricket is the deepest challenge — in a five-day contest, pitch behaviour, weather, and fatigue all affect the betting. In Test cricket a draw is a valid result, so markets run across three possible outcomes.
IPL is India's franchise tournament — the world's best players compete here, and it is equally appealing to Bangladeshi viewers. In Bangladesh Tigers matches at the T20 World Cup, emotion and strategic betting come together.
Football and Other Sports
At official, you can bet on football alongside cricket. In football a draw is a common result, so the "1X2" market has three options — this is different from cricket's two-way market. In football, specific markets such as goal rate, number of corners, or half-time score are also available.
In cricket, balls are faced and play continues without stopping — overs, innings, partnerships, wickets, each event is a separate betting moment. In football, odds can stay steady for long periods when there are no goals, but in cricket live odds shift up or down with every delivery.
Among other sports, events such as tennis, badminton, and kabaddi can also be found in the sports section at official. However, cricket remains the most familiar and active market for Bangladeshi users.
Those who prefer only casino games will find live baccarat, roulette, and many more games in the official casino section.
Football vs Cricket Betting
- Draw market in football — generally not available in cricket (T20/ODI)
- Live odds change every over in cricket
- Three outcomes in Test — win, loss, and draw
Popular Betting Markets
Multiple markets are available for cricket betting at official. Below are descriptions of seven common markets — understanding what to consider behind each one makes betting more informed.
Match Winner
Who will win between two teams — this is the simplest market. In T20 or ODI the result comes within a set time. Example: Team A and Team B are playing — if Team A wins, you win.
T20 ODIToss Market
Settled before the match starts. You bet on which team will win the toss. The outcome is entirely independent — match performance plays no role here.
Quick ResultTop Batsman
Which batter in a team will score the most runs. Pitch, batting order, and form must be considered when deciding on this market.
Individual PerformanceTotal Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether the total runs scored will be above (Over) or below (Under) a set run number. Example: whether total runs will be more than 160 — pitch and weather play a major role.
T20 PopularFirst Over Runs
A bet on how many runs will be scored in the first over of the match. The opener's aggression and the bowler's form are factors to consider here.
In-PlayMulti Bet
Combining multiple matches or markets together multiplies the odds. If all selections are correct the return is large — if one is wrong the entire bet is lost. More details are in the odds section below.
High RiskTop Bowler
Which bowler will take the most wickets in an innings or across the whole match. The type of pitch — spin-friendly or pace-friendly — is important here.
Wicket BasedHow to Read Odds
Odds are written in three formats — Decimal, Fractional, and American. Each expresses the same probability in a different way.
Example 1 — The Same Odds in Three Formats
Say the odds on Team A winning are: Decimal 2.25, Fractional 5/4, American +125. All three say the same thing. On a ৳1,000 bet, if you win the return is ৳2,250 (৳1,250 profit + ৳1,000 original stake); if you lose, ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 — Odds on the Favourite
If Team B is the favourite, odds are lower: Decimal 1.80, Fractional 4/5, American -125. American minus odds mean how much you need to stake to make a profit of 100. On a ৳1,000 bet, a win returns ৳1,800 (৳800 profit).
In a multi bet, odds are multiplied: if three selections are 1.50, 1.60, and 1.90 respectively, the total odds are 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.90 = 4.56 (rounded). On a ৳100 bet, winning all returns ৳456 — but if one loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
Team A and Team B are fictitious — these are for illustration purposes only, not actual odds or a promise of winnings.
Live In-Play — Betting During the Match
The most engaging part of cricket is live betting — once the match starts, odds keep changing. With every wicket the batting team's odds go up; with every big hit they come down.
Consider an example: Team A's score after 15 overs is 80/3 — they need 90 runs in five overs. At this moment Team A's Match Winner odds might be very high because the equation is tough. But if 30 runs come in the next two overs, the odds shift quickly. This movement is the main appeal of live betting.
In over-by-over markets you can also bet on how many runs will be scored in the next six balls. After a wicket, if the bowler is on form, the chances of fewer runs against a new batsman increase — this information is reflected in the live odds.
You can find more information about sports betting on the official Bet page — take a look at the official Bet section.
- When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds go up
- Odds change quickly as runs increase during the powerplay
- Keep an eye on the run rate in the death overs
- If a match is shortened due to rain, odds are recalculated
Practical Betting Tips
Betting is a form of entertainment — it is not a guaranteed source of income. Keeping the following points in mind will make the experience more informed and controlled.
- Set a budget: Before each session, decide how much money you will spend — and do not exceed it.
- Understand the format: T20 and Test move at different paces — the same betting strategy does not work for both.
- Read the pitch report: On a spin-friendly pitch, a pacer's chances of taking wickets are lower — this affects the Top Bowler market.
- Be careful with multi bets: Odds go up, but the chance of all selections being correct at the same time goes down.
- No rushing in live betting: Watch how the match is going, then decide — placing large bets on impulse is risky.
- Responsible gambling: If betting is causing stress, read the responsible gaming guidelines — there are options to set limits.
